Public Focus Archive
Our public focus section will highlight the programs, policies, innovations and leaders in government having a positive impact on children. Government plays a vital role in the well-being of children of all ages, from newborn screenings at our state public health lab to helping foster youth transition to independence, and much more. Missouri KIDS COUNT seeks to provide an environment where common values abound, stories engender confidence in government, and where we reignite participation to find solutions that enlist government agencies as partners in initiatives for children.
At the same time, Missouri KIDS COUNT hopes to help influence the expansion of evidence-based policies and programs in the public sector, supporting the use of easy to understand, reliable, transparent and persuasive data.
