Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 10-24 year olds in Missouri, exceeded only by unintentional
injury (including motor vehicle accidents). In 2013, 310 youth died by unintentional injury, and 118 died by
suicide. Most (75%) of youth who died by suicide in 2013 were 18-24.
